The Filipino Channel (or TFC) is a global brand of premium cable/satellite/iptv/mobile/digital/video on demand television network based in Redwood City, California. It is owned by the Filipino media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation and is targeted towardsFilipino expatriates and their families.
It broadcasts a 24-hour line-up of shows imported from ABS-CBN, a national television network in the Philippines as well as some originally produced programming. The Filipino Channel is also backed by several other international direct-to-home services like TFC Direct of DirecTV, TFC IPTV of Sprint, Filipino On Demand of Comcast, and online on TFC.tv. Today, The Filipino Channel has over two million subscribers worldwide accounting to over 8 million viewership. As of 2015, TFC has over 3 million subscribers worldwide most of which are in United States, Middle East, Europe, Australia, Canada, and Japan.
